Photography has been an integral part of my family since
early childhood where my cousins and I would often be
subjects for my uncle who was a freelance photographer.
“Hamming it up for the camera,” as my grandmother
would call it, my brother and cousin would re-enact a
Bruce Lee scene while my sister and I would create a Bo
Derek “do” for our younger cousin who was getting ready
for her “photo shoot”.

Growing up in the scenic Monterey Peninsula where
every turn is an amazing photograph, nature and the
great outdoors captivated me young in life. My
photography classes had me with camera in hand for
most all opportunities that I could find. Every drive down
Highway 1 wasn’t complete unless I was looking for “the
perfect spot” for the next time I had my camera with me.

Photography inspired me and lit me up inside. I found
that photographs could not only be beautiful, but that they
could also be powerful statements. Not like anything that I
had ever experienced before, photography provided me
with an artistic outlet for self-expression.

I’ve been fortunate enough to have the opportunity to
travel to many places and capture some truly amazing
photographic moments. I continue to look for those
breathless photographs yet to be taken with camera
clutched tight in hand.

Thank you for taking the time to look at my work. I hope it
speaks to you like it speaks to me.

Namaste
